The films I've shot for my number one dance move aren't designed to be shown on a computer screen or a tv screen... they're shot in portrait mode... and you need to imagine them projected so the dancers are lifesize in front of you...

If I was being hardcore I'd put the films up here as they were shot - and viewers could turn their laptops and computer monitors on their sides; but I converted these three into normal landscape orientation for the Cube Cinema Ausform Performance Film event a couple of weeks ago...

- ... is a video installation. You can see some of the video footage on this blog. Twelve friends (soon to be more) none of whom have any technical training in dancing, perform their favourite dance moves and are interviewed in their bedrooms or sitting rooms about what role dancing has played in their lives. ************ This project investigates how dancing fits into everyday lives, and touches on social performance, memes, intoxication, leisure and work, shared experience, non-verbal communication, rituals, attraction, embarrassment, awkwardness and fun.
